How to Create/add Start Button in Windows 8

After the release of  WINDOWS 8 CONSUMER PREVIEW some users have dissappointed with the removal of classic start button in windows 8. For those users we have two (With additional software and without additional software) ways for getting it back.

FIRST WAY: (With additional software)

To get start menu back as same as that of windows 7 start button you have to proceed in this way.
Start button for Windows 8
  • The tool used to get back the start button is ViStart. This ViStart tool is available free of cost. You can download it here. To see the available skins go here. Then search for download button and download it.

  • After download run the application. While installing choose custom installation and clear the additional enhancement check boxes if you don't want to install additional enhancements it provides.

  • Then complete the installation in usual manner. Once the installation completes the Start button appears previously to the Internet Explorer.

SECOND WAY : (Without additional software)

To create start menu right click the task bar > tool bars > new tool bar.

Then paste the following path in the opened window:

  • Then hit the "select folder" and the start menu will be created on the task bar.
