Microsoft Windows 8, the long awaited operating system will be hitting the stores in major territories on Oct. 26,2012, and the night before Windows 8 hit stores, Microsoft is planning to do partying.
They sent out invitations for a massive shindig in New York City, with the tagline "You are invited to celebrate".

What's new in Windows 8?

• Microsoft will offer only three versions, two for Intel-based PCs which are Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 RT for ARM-based tablets like the Microsoft Surface. 
• The new OS offers both a traditional desktop interface and the Metro-style touch-friendly UI.
• It also adds Integrated cloud storage, Internet Explorer 10, Multi-Monitor features, and integrated Task manager and windows defender.
