After the release of WINDOWS 8 CONSUMER PREVIEW some users have dissappointed with the removal of classic start button in windows 8. For those users we have two (With additional software and without additional software) ways for getting it back.
To get start menu back as same as that of windows 7 start button you have to proceed in this way.

- After download run the application. While installing choose custom installation and clear the additional enhancement check boxes if you don't want to install additional enhancements it provides.
- Then complete the installation in usual manner. Once the installation completes the Start button appears previously to the Internet Explorer.
SECOND WAY : (Without additional software)
To create start menu right click the task bar > tool bars > new tool bar.
Then paste the following path in the opened window:
ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
To create start menu right click the task bar > tool bars > new tool bar.
ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
- Then hit the "select folder" and the start menu will be created on the task bar.

- To move that start menu right click the task bar and uncheck the "Lock the task bar" then drag and drop the programs menu to the desired position.
- That's it.
